A recent phenomenon that has exploded all over television recently has been celebrity love shows. This is where a celebrity, usually in need of boosting their careers, is cast onto a new series designed to find their “soul mate.” But how seriously can you take these shows? A prime example of this type of series is the show based on the singer/adult film star Tila Tequila (Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen) search to finding love. The catch with this series in particular is that she claims to be bisexual, and the contestants are made of 12 straight men and 12 lesbians. Seems like rather extreme circumstances in which to discover what your sexual identity is. An insider told the NY post that “Tila has and has had a boyfriend for over a year, and she's not really bi. She's made out with some girls in her past, as all girls have, but she is not bi at all” sparking up rumors that the show was all fake and scripted.
